You can pay your Fido Mastercard statement in many ways, prior to your due date:

  • Automatically, through your pre-authorized chequing or savings account.
  • In person at most Canadian financial institutions
  • By mail, please make cheques payable to Rogers Bank and be sure to write your account number on the front of your cheque, to:

As a relatively new bank, we don’t offer this feature at this time. We are working on offering this payment option in the near future. We will send out a customer notification once this feature is available. However, we do have some options that we can offer to help provide you with a more seamless customer experience:

  • You can set-up Rogers Bank Alerts to send you an automatic email or text message to remind you of when your next payment is due. Rogers Bank Alerts are free and easy to use.
  • If you subscribe to online/telephone banking with your current financial institution, you can set-up your Mastercard® as a payee. Select ROGERS BANK-MASTERCARD as the payee name in your list of bill payments. That way you can easily manage your Mastercard® bill as a one-time payment along with your other online bill payments. If you prefer, you can also set it up as a recurring monthly bill payment.

Yes! To maximize your ability to earn cash back rewards set up your Fido Mastercard to pre-authorize your payment on your monthly Fido bill. You can set up this feature through your My Account:

  1. Sign in to your Fido account using your username and password
  2. Under "Billing and Payments", go to "Change Payment Method" and select Pre-authorized Credit Card.
  3. Enter your Fido Mastercard card details. It will take up to Two business days to update your method of payment.

Yes! You can use your Fido Mastercard to pay for any bills that accept credit card payments. Contact the company you wish to set up a recurring payment for and provide them with your Fido Mastercard account details.

The standard interest rate on Purchases and Fees: 19.99%. The standard interest rate on Cash Advances, Cash-Like Transactions and Balance Transfers: 21.5% The interest rates will increase to the Rate of 25.99% for Purchases and Fees and 27.99% for Cash Advances, Cash-Like Transactions and Balance Transfers on your next statement if you:

  • do not make the minimum payment by the due date 2 times in any 12 month period, or
  • are not in full compliance with the terms of your cardholder agreement
If you don't pay your bill within the interest-free grace period, the interest is calculated from the time of the purchase. See Terms & Conditions for complete details.

You can avoid being charged interest by paying the full statement balance by the statement due date. This is your interest free grace period! This interest free grace period does not apply to cash advances, cash like transactions or balance transfers.

  4. Within the “History” section, if “Use custom settings for history” is selected, ensure that the option “Close Firefox” is not selected as an option of the “Keep until:” drop down.
  5. Ensure that the checkbox for “Clear history when Firefox closes” is not selected
  6. Select "OK" to close the "Options" window.

  1. Choose "Preferences" from the "Safari" menu.
  2. Select the "Privacy" icon from the menu.
  3. Do not select "Always block" within the “Cookies and website data:” options. 
  4. Close the Preferences window.

  1. Choose "Settings" within the drop down options, in the upper right-hand corner of the browser.
  2. Select the “Show advanced settings”.
  3. Within the “Privacy” section, select the “Content Settings” button.

Social engineering is manipulating people to perform specific actions or divulge confidential information. Criminals try to trick you into giving them your PINs, passwords or bank information, or access your computer to install malicious software that will give them access to your bank information or control of your computer. There are 3 types of social engineering scams:

Phishing

Phishing is when cybercriminals use email messages with fake email addresses, fabricated websites, or pop-up windows to gather personal information.

Vishing or ‘Voice Phishing’

Voice phishing is the criminal practice to gather your personal or financial information over the phone for the purpose of financial reward.

Smishing or ‘SMS Phishing’

Smishing is the criminal practice to gather personal or financial information through text messages/SMS. These text messages will ask you to visit fabricated websites or call a phone number where you will be asked to provide your information.

Do NOT respond or provide personal information to the caller or online to the sender send or forward it to others, or click on any links or attachments. Never share your card PIN or passwords with anyone. Rogers Bank would never send you an email or call you to request your PIN or password.

  • Change your PIN, password and security questions immediately.
  • Review recent account activity to ensure all transactions and/or changes to your account were made by you or any authorized user on your account.

Here are some simple recommendations to protect yourself from fraud:

Keep it to yourself: Your PIN is your fingerprint to your account. Never share your PIN with anyone, and be sure to cover the pin pad whenever you enter your PIN for a purchase.

Go paperless: e-Statements are more secure than paper statements delivered through the mail. They can’t be stolen, delivered to the wrong house or even taken from your trash.

Monitor your account often: Sign-up for Account Alerts and we’ll notify you whenever there is a change in account activity, including: changes made to your PIN, purchases made online or by phone, and purchases made outside of a specific location – so you can immediately flag any transactions you have not authorized.

Request a credit report: You are entitled to one free report each year from the national credit bureaus: Equifax and Trans Union – allowing you to stay on top of any suspicious activity.

Shred your documents: Regularly shred documents that contain your personal information.

Yes, the Rogers Bank website is secure. Here are a few security features that we use to protect your information:

HTTPS or Hyper Text Transfer Protocol Secure: Is a secure communications protocol that is used to transfer sensitive information between your web browser and a web server. This helps guarantee that you are communicating with the server that you expect and that nobody else can intercept. 

Password Protection: For additional protection, we recently updated the password criteria.

Your password must include:

  • Between 8 and 20 characters
  • At least 1 letter, case-sensitive
  • At least 1 number
  • Characters from the following set
    _ ' , ; / - . * & ( ) \ ! @ # $ % + ^ = ?

Your password cannot contain the word “password”, or your user name, and you may not re-use any of your last 4 passwords.

Session timeout: Your online banking session will timeout after a period of inactivity. If you would like to continue accessing your online banking, you will have to sign in again. You should always sign out when you are done.

Web browser encryption: Web browsers use encryption to communicate securely over the Internet. You must have a browser with at least, 128-bit encryption to use Rogers Bank Online Banking. If your browser does not support the 128-bit encryption you will need to upgrade your browser to access your online bank information. 

If you would like to check the level of encryption that your browser supports, follow the instructions below:

Internet Explorer:

  1. From the top menu, click on Help.
  2. From the drop down menu, select About Internet Explorer.
  3. The information displayed for Cipher Strength is the encryption level (i.e. Cipher Strength: 128-bit).
  4. If it does not say 128-bit, then upgrade your browser to the latest version. Click here to upgrade to Internet Explorer.

Firefox:

  1. Open Firefox.
  2. Right click on the lock symbol within the browser.
  3. Select the Security tab, the bit encryption is located below the Technical details section.
  4. If it does not say 128-bit, then you will need to upgrade your browser to the latest version, click here to upgrade Firefox.

Safari:

  1. Open Safari.
  2. A lock icon at the top right corner of the address bar will display a secure (https://) site. This symbol is absent when viewing an unsecured (http://) site. Safari determines the level of encryption used at a given time. 
  3. If the lock icon is not displayed, you will need to upgrade your browser when visiting the Rogers Bank website. Click here to upgrade Safari

Google Chrome:

  1. Open Google Chrome and go to the Rogers Bank website.
  2. Ensure that there is a lock icon at the top right corner of the address bar and verify that https://rogersbank.com is displayed.
  3. If the lock icon and https://rogersbank.com is not displayed you may need to upgrade your browser. Click here to update Google Chrome

For Flex Packs, Season Tickets and Group Tickets:

  1. From your desktop computer or in the Pay with Rewards app turn on redemptions.
  2. Purchase your ticket packs directly from the Toronto Blue Jays™ by calling 1 888 654-6529.
  3. Your cash back will automatically be applied up to the full transaction amount or the cash value of your rewards balance, whichever is less.

You can redeem your cash back rewards towards any Rogers product or service provided the Rogers product or service is paid for using your Rogers Platinum Mastercard. That includes:

Yes! You can use your Rogers Platinum Mastercard to pay for any bills that accept credit card payments. Contact the company you wish to set up a recurring payment for and provide them with your Rogers Platinum Mastercard account details.

The interest rate is 19.99% for purchases and fee. The interest rate is 21.5% for cash advances and cash like transactions. This rate can increase to 25.99% if you do not make the minimum payment for 2 consecutive months or if you are not in full compliance with the terms of your Card Holder Agreement.

As of Oct 19th, 2016 the Interest Rates will be changed:

  4. Close the Preferences window.

Social engineering is manipulating people to perform specific actions or divulge confidential information. Criminals try to trick you into giving them your PINs, passwords or bank information, or access your computer to install malicious software that will give them access to your bank information or control of your computer. There are 3 types of social engineering scams:

Phishing

Phishing is when cybercriminals use email messages with fake email addresses, fabricated websites, or pop-up windows to gather personal information.

Vishing or ‘Voice Phishing’

Voice phishing is the criminal practice to gather your personal or financial information over the phone for the purpose of financial reward.

Smishing or ‘SMS Phishing’

Smishing is the criminal practice to gather personal or financial information through text messages/SMS. These text messages will ask you to visit fabricated websites or call a phone number where you will be asked to provide your information.

Do NOT respond or provide personal information to the caller or online to the sender send or forward it to others, or click on any links or attachments. Never share your card PIN or passwords with anyone. Rogers Bank would never send you an email or call you to request your PIN or password.

Here are some simple recommendations to protect yourself from fraud:

Keep it to yourself: Your PIN is your fingerprint to your account. Never share your PIN with anyone, and be sure to cover the pin pad whenever you enter your PIN for a purchase.

Go paperless: e-Statements are more secure than paper statements delivered through the mail. They can’t be stolen, delivered to the wrong house or even taken from your trash.

Monitor your account often: Sign-up for Account Alerts and we’ll notify you whenever there is a change in account activity, including: changes made to your PIN, purchases made online or by phone, and purchases made outside of a specific location – so you can immediately flag any transactions you have not authorized.

Request a credit report: You are entitled to one free report each year from the national credit bureaus: Equifax and Trans Union – allowing you to stay on top of any suspicious activity.

Shred your documents: Regularly shred documents that contain your personal information.

Yes, the Rogers Bank website is secure. Here are a few security features that we use to protect your information:

HTTPS or Hyper Text Transfer Protocol Secure: Is a secure communications protocol that is used to transfer sensitive information between your web browser and a web server. This helps guarantee that you are communicating with the server that you expect and that nobody else can intercept. 

Password Protection: For additional protection, we recently updated the password criteria.

Your password must include:

  • Between 8 and 20 characters
  • At least 1 letter, case-sensitive
  • At least 1 number
  • Characters from the following set
    _ ' , ; / - . * & ( ) \ ! @ # $ % + ^ = ?

Your password cannot contain the word “password”, or your user name, and you may not re-use any of your last 4 passwords.

Session timeout: Your online banking session will timeout after a period of inactivity. If you would like to continue accessing your online banking, you will have to sign in again. You should always sign out when you are done.

Web browser encryption: Web browsers use encryption to communicate securely over the Internet. You must have a browser with at least, 128-bit encryption to use Rogers Bank Online Banking. If your browser does not support the 128-bit encryption you will need to upgrade your browser to access your online bank information. 

If you would like to check the level of encryption that your browser supports, follow the instructions below:

Internet Explorer:

  1. From the top menu, click on Help.
  2. From the drop down menu, select About Internet Explorer.
  3. The information displayed for Cipher Strength is the encryption level (i.e. Cipher Strength: 128-bit).
  4. If it does not say 128-bit, then upgrade your browser to the latest version. Click here to upgrade to Internet Explorer.

Firefox:

  1. Open Firefox.
  2. Right click on the lock symbol within the browser.
  3. Select the Security tab, the bit encryption is located below the Technical details section.
  4. If it does not say 128-bit, then you will need to upgrade your browser to the latest version, click here to upgrade Firefox.

Safari:

  1. Open Safari.
  2. A lock icon at the top right corner of the address bar will display a secure (https://) site. This symbol is absent when viewing an unsecured (http://) site. Safari determines the level of encryption used at a given time. 
  3. If the lock icon is not displayed, you will need to upgrade your browser when visiting the Rogers Bank website. Click here to upgrade Safari

Google Chrome:

  1. Open Google Chrome and go to the Rogers Bank website.
  2. Ensure that there is a lock icon at the top right corner of the address bar and verify that https://rogersbank.com is displayed.
